Beautiful hotel. The male hotel manager is very nice. Room is comfortable and well decorated. Breakfast room is also beautiful. Location is good.

It was a cosy hotel with great ambiance. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Extra touches such as fresh fruit in lobby, soap etc in bathroom, fridge in room were very helpful for travelers. The breakfast provided great tastings of bread, cheese etc fro the area and best of all they made real tea for breakfast with tea leaves and offered a second pot!

Great location in the heart of a charming town. Enjoyed the spacious room and delicious breakfast with fresh eggs. The helpful staff made planning day trips a breeze. Despite street noise, we had a peaceful stay. highly recommend!

The hotel is conveniently located just 900 feet from Museum Appenzell. The building is nice, and it's close to a great restaurant called Landgasthof Zur Lilie Stadl. The rooms are marvelous and tidy, with hypo-allergenic pillows.

Staying at this hotel was fantastic! It's located right on the town's main square, making it easy to access everything. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the bathrooms had a modern appearance. The breakfast was wonderful, with many delicious local products. Plus, the friendly staff and excellent service made our stay all the more enjoyable.

Although the evening meal was decent, there were some issues with the cooking quality of some dishes.

The breakfast was outstanding and gorgeous, we were provided with freshly cooked ham and egg dishes, as example. Location: the hotel was just off the restaurant downstairs and the central square and right on the main square.

Pity, but the beds were too soft.

The hotel's central location next to a great bakery, a fantastic restaurant called Landgasthof Zur Lilie Stadl am Wasserfall, and the Church was very convenient. I had a beautiful room with a view of the Landsgemeindeplatz, and everything was terrific.

The hotel offers a delightful experience with absolutely gorgeous views of the foothills surrounding Appenzell. The variety of outstanding food for breakfast is huge. The location is great and stunning, just minutes from Museum Appenzell.

Excellent quality is a good deal, rooms are comfortable and cozy. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel we were treated with courtesy and professionalism, is a hotel that I recommend.

We were warmly greeted by the family owners' son who made us feel right at home immediately.The room was lovely, quiet and had everything we asked for.The staff were all absolutely charming and helpful and the food excellent and nicely presented. The location is just a short walk from the rail station and on the famous square where the annual "parliament" takes place each April. The shops and cafes are very close and the museum more interesting than you might expect. There are some fascinating items to see. The cows were brought down from the mountains the day before we arrived and we saw the goats being brought in by the farmers and young girls in traditional dress.Just before the snow arrived.This is "Heidi land" which we loved!
